Nick Scodellaro, Fortress - Slacks Creek Centre Manager, nominated as finalist for 2023 Bodyshop Awards

Nick commenced with Fortress in March 2021 as Junior Centre Manager in our Graduate Program. The program is designed to develop our future leaders by providing exposure, connections and experiences through meaningful on-job learning, role rotation, professional development and specific projects. The program generally runs for 18 - 24 months however Nick quickly progressed to a high standard and was fast tracked and promoted to Centre Manager, Beenleigh site. Here he led a team of 12 and improved not only site profitability but production processes, safety compliance and culture. Keen for exposure and a new challenge, Nick was transferred to Slacks Creek site as a Centre Manager and has successfully managed this large repair facility and team for 22 months. His achievements and progress are evidenced by increased retention, low absenteeism, zero serious incidents/injuries and high customer satisfaction KPI insurer scorecard results.

 

Nick presents as a very motivated young achiever across all walks of life. After school he completed a double degree in Psychology and Criminology/Criminal Justice under the expected time frame of 4 years, he built his own home by 23 and is a purple belt Brazilin Jiujitsu. His discipline and dedication is also witnessed in his fast tracked professional development and promotion to roles finding him responsible for Site Management.

Recognised as key talent in the Graduate Program, he has excelled in each assignment/role, providing clear evidence of his capability. Nick has excellent leadership and people management skills for his age and is highly regarded by his team and senior management. He has gained an excellent level of industry knowledge and consistently displays a high standard of work ethic and professionalism. Nick's fast tracked promotions and placement in one of Fortress's high volume repair sites is testament to his achievements as such it would be wonderful to see him recognised by the industry.
